Watch Out For FX Options Scams Broadcast Review

13 April 2009, 11:19

There are plenty of videos about foreign exchange trading on YouTube, but only a fraction of them concentrate on warning you about the scams that are out there.  As with any business it can be all too easy to get caught out by scams, and that's why this particular video is well worth watching.

It is just over seven and a half minutes long, and has been made by the user profitingwithforex.  The video is presented by John Jagerson, and with the help of a whiteboard he tells us something about Forex scams and how to avoid them.

The main focus of this video is to tell us about advisory services concerned with the currency markets, which aim to help you with making the right decisions about when to trade, which currencies to trade, how to do it, and so on.  This video was added on 19th June 2008, so it is quite recent and therefore it's worth listening to what John has to say, to protect yourself from falling victim to some of the scams that are currently doing the rounds on the internet.

The best part of this video is that John tells us what the four top signs of a scam are.  Any scammer will apparently tell you four 'facts' about Forex which just aren't true, and by knowing what these are you will stand a much better chance of not falling victim to them.

It is a common fact that 95% of people who try to make money in the currency markets will fail, and that is usually because they don't have the knowledge they need to succeed.  They also think it is easy to make money this way and it certainly isn't.  This is one of the signs that John shares with us.

It is interesting to note that this video reveals four signs that will all plug into the psyche of a person who wants to make money without doing any real work.  Of course most of us recognise that this just doesn't happen; you are always going to have to work to receive money, even if that work only happens once and you can keep on earning from it in the future.  And that certainly doesn't apply to the Forex market!

John also describes the word leverage as being one of the signs that you may have been emailed by a scammer.  This is a word which is used in the Forex market, but the scammer will often use it in a different way altogether.  To them it is a way of making it sound even easier to make money in this way, and it should be something you are aware of if you are interested in getting into this market and you see this term being used.  John goes into great detail to explain how the scammer will use this term.

The video gives out a lot of very useful information and as such you should keep it in your playlist to refer back to, because although it is a recent video at the time of writing it contains a lot of generic information that will help you weed out the scam emails you may receive about Forex trading that are most likely to catch out the beginners more than anyone else.  No matter whether you view this video today or in two years time, you are likely to find that there is a lot of information here that can be of use to you.

John is a very personable presenter and does a good job of getting his message across.  He has his own Forex related website of course, and this is advertised on the video, but not to excess and you never feel as if you are constantly being sold to.  In fact the one website he refers you to during the video is not his; it is a website that will help you to figure out whether an email you receive is a scam or not.

You can view this video at http://youtube.com/watch?v=tK3miwSAskw and I can guarantee that you will enjoy it.  This user also has a number of other Forex related videos on YouTube that are well worth watching, and while none of them seem to have very high viewing figures you would certainly be missing out on something if you didn't watch them.

So as far as escaping the con artists is concerned, this video does a lot to move you in the right direction and keep you safe from harm.
