Last week saw the British pound give a poor performance when it came to facing off against all manner of other currencies. Would this week be more of the same, or would there be a better outcome in store?

This would definitely be a rough week for the pound, as we were about to see it suffer against a variety of currencies from all over the world.

This week would be far from predictable as far as the currency markets were concerned. This did at least make for a more interesting review of the markets and the British pound’s standing within them.

So the campaign begins for arguing whether we should stay in or exit the European Union. The argument is not for us to take part in; instead we shall see whether the pound was affected this week.

Some weeks naturally have more drama than others on the currency markets. Would this be one of them? Perhaps – and we would not have to wait long to find out for sure.

We know some weeks have their challenges on the currency markets. But this week would prove to be a good one in some areas and not in others, as far as the British pound was concerned.

The British pound does have its struggles at times. However, as we will see this time, this week would not be among them. Even though not all the results would be encouraging, the overall picture was quite healthy.
