This week would be filled with good results for the pound. It wasn’t plain sailing the whole way but there were definitely calmer waters in store here.

This was not going to be the best start to a month the British pound had ever made. However there were going to be some improvements to appreciate here, as we will see in this week’s report.

Unusual? Yes in a sense, as you will soon see. Some days were clearly going to be far better than others on the currency markets this week.

It was good to have some confidence back in the markets for the British pound after the election was over. Here we see just how that translated into exchange rates for the pound.

The election may warrant a degree of uncertainty over currency trading as far as the pound is concerned, but that didn’t seem to be in evidence this week. We’ve got all the news for you here.
