The pound had a great week against the US dollar last time, ending on 1.6303 as a result. Things were looking very good this time around as well, as the pound shot up to 1.6400 after just forty eight hours.

The last time we caught up with the pound it was worth 1.6120 against the US dollar. With the US looking to raise its debt ceiling was it time for the pound to have another good week?

The last time we caught up with the pound versus the US dollar it was bagging a rate of 1.5944. Could we now press beyond this and gain a better rate?

Summary of Currency Markets for July 4th – July 8th 2011

The last time we saw the pound it was worth 1.6008 against the US dollar. There was good news initially as the pound climbed to 1.6096 after just two days of trading. But unfortunately that was where the good news ended.

The pound had dropped to 1.6003 against the US dollar in the previous week, so could it do better now? By the time two days had gone by it had fallen further to 1.5948, but fortunately the pound managed to up its game by the end of the week.

The pound had a bad showing against the US dollar last time, ending on 1.6168 as a result. Two days into the new week it had managed to improve things to 1.6209 so this at least was a good sign.

Last time the pound managed to close out the week on 1.6305 against the US dollar. But where would things go this time around? Unfortunately it peaked too soon on Tuesday for this new week, bringing it up to 1.6399.

The British pound slipped a little against the US dollar last time, leaving it on 1.6324 in the process. Could we push that a little higher again now?

Summary of Currency Markets for May 30th – June 3rd 2011

By the last day of May the pound had risen slightly to 1.6495. But unfortunately it climbed no higher, instead taking a tumble through the last couple of days of the week. This left us on 1.6324 at the close of play, so we lost out there.

Summary of Currency Markets for May 23rd – May 27th 2011

The closing rate last time for the pound versus the US dollar was 1.6232. Could it achieve more on the currency converter this time? Things didn’t look promising initially as the pound dropped to 1.6119 on day one of the new week.
